are experiencing frequent acid reflux, it is called GERD or gastrointestinal
esophageal reflux disease. In the nutshell, it is a recurrence of acid reflux
in the long term.
If the
stomach acids are moved up frequently into the esophagus, it may damage the
tissues. It is due to the dysfunctional valve located at the bottom of your
esophagus and on top of the stomach. Therefore, it provides a clear definition
of what is GERD
You can
naturally lower the risk of GERD through lowering stress, and weight. It is
also suggested completely stopping smoking to prevent GERD and stay healthy.
You are
also advised to practice exercises regularly to reduce weight and get rid of
GERD naturally. You can practice exercises like Lunges, explosive lunges,
burpees, squats, mountain climbers, double jump, Tabata Drill, and Kettlebell
swings to get rid of overweight and stay healthy and fit.
Many
people suffering from sour taste in the mouth after intake of a heavy meal or
sleeping immediately after intake of a meal. You may be also suffering from
excessive gas and discomfort as well as pain in the abdomen. You may ask what
is acid reflux and why I am suffering from this disease frequently.
The
lower esophageal sphincter, a small valve, is located at the entrance of your
stomach. It should get closed immediately after the passage food from your
mouth into the stomach. If the valve doesn’t close or is always in open
condition, then stomach acid keeps on moving to the esophagus. As a result, you
will suffer from heartburn or burning sensation. The movement of acids from the
stomach to the esophagus is called acid reflux.
You are
advised to consume small meals five or six times a day to promote digestion and
prevent acid reflux. You are also advised to quit smoking and prevent intake of
citrus fruits and alcohol.
