Signs Symptomatic Of Esophageal Cancer

The esophagus is a muscular tube that runs down from the mouth to the stomach and helps in pushing the food down towards the stomach. The movement of food is aided by peristalsis that occurs in the esophagus.  When the esophagus is scalded by the constant occurrence of acid reflux then it becomes difficult to swallow food because the opening of the esophagus near the mouth becomes narrower so the food is prevented to pass through the scarred esophagus.

Many people wonder What Causes Acid Reflux and it is true that many reasons are present that can cause acid reflux. Acid reflux caused by the occasional intake of spicy of fried food products is quite normal but if acidity becomes a regular phenomenon then it can harm the esophagus. Signs of Esophageal Cancer are noticeable in the form of dark colored stools that is indicative of bleeding in the esophagus. If a person is unable to swallow food then it is a problematic issue that can indicate a carcinoma. Many people who suffer from this type of ailment which is medically termed is dysphagia do not realize the problem instantly.
Initially many individuals who are suffering from dysphagia might try to change their diet so that food can be swallowed. People might resort to a liquid diet when the symptoms of dysphagia become extremely severe.  The narrowing of the esophagus along with pain, in the chest area accompanied by constant hoarseness are symptoms that might be treated as warning signs of esophageal cancer.
