GERD To Stop Before It Stops Peace

There is a certain anxiety related to diseases in every human being and given the present lifestyle problems added to the pernicious food habits, the incidence of gastric problems is always on the rise. One of the main gastric diseases in the recent times is the gastro-esophageal reflux disease which comes with symptoms like heartburn, throat clearing, difficulty in swallowing, belching, hiccups, chronic cough and various other related gastric problems. These can even result in Barrett’s disease or esophagus cancer if not checked or treated in a timely manner. Treatment not only means having a good number of medicines but at the same time, it is important to take charge in life and mend the lifestyle issues as well so that there are no GERD threats in the future.
Healthy way of handling GERD
The GERD acid reflux is generally caused due to excessive pressure on the LES sphincter muscles inside the stomach that result in improper functioning of the stomach and the acidic contents tend to flow through the esophagus or food pipe thereby creating an undesirable situation. The esophagus is never in a condition to withstand this acidic matter and hence, too much of acid reflux leads to Barrett’s disease or esophageal cancer. In fact, there are several other deadly diseases that can be caused due to too much of GERD acid reflux and these include non-erosive acid reflux, erosive esophagitis, low grade dysplasia, high grade dysplasia and all of these are stages of pre-cancer. 
 
Hence, a natural GERD diet is to be maintained right from the initial stages of GERD so that the disease can controlled to the maximum possible extent. Medications are fine to some extent but too many medicines are also harmful. So, it is wise to lose weight, have healthy food items, stay away from junk foods or fatty foods and continue physical fitness regime in life in order to get rid of GERD.
